Metro Cinema
Formerly the Metro Studio Theatre · 1411 Quadra Street, Victoria, BC · 162 seated

A hundred and sixty-two seats in a black box that began as a church gymnasium. The room opened in 2005 as the Metro Studio Theatre, a partnership between Intrepid Theatre and the Victoria Conservatory of Music, which owns the building, and for twenty years it was the city's default room for fringe theatre, dance, spoken word and film.
Intrepid Theatre left in the spring of 2026, citing rent and operating costs across nearly every budget line, and the Conservatory took the space on.
NeuzTec 11 opens here on the Thursday and Friday of the 2026 edition with Stereo Deepwest Soundsystem, the first festival nights away from Johnson Street since 2021.
