Intrepid Theatre
Victoria, BC
Founded in 1986 to produce the Victoria Fringe Theatre Festival, Intrepid Theatre has since become the city's year-round presenter and venue operator: OUTstages, British Columbia's first queer theatre arts festival, since 2015; Incoming since 2023; UNO Fest from 1998 to 2023; and residency programmes for local artists. It ran the Metro on Quadra Street for twenty years and keeps a forty-five seat studio at 1609 Blanshard Street.
NeuzFest, the founding edition, was staged in its rooms in April 2016 on a stereo system: fourteen sets, and the only edition before the festival took the name NeuzTec.
NeuzTec 4 returned in April 2019 as QuadTec, fourteen sets and four durational performances, with the NeuzLab QuadTec-101 synth-building workshop running alongside the music.
